Will It Hurt?
There are always a few different factors to the pain levels of a tattoo, one of them being placement, which is the most important one, in my opinion. While there are some tattoo designs and patterns that are going to be more painful than others, but the softness of the skin you get it on will make the most difference.
However, there is another factor to these that bring it up a little bit on the pain scale.
With these being color tattoos, there’s going to be shading and fill in that you may not have with all black tattoos.
It can definitely still be minimal and some will definitely still be easier than others, but overall there’s additional pain points when color and shading is involved.
Why Are Flower Tattoos With Color So Popular?
Besides the obvious reasons that colorful flower tattoos are so popular because of the beautiful expression of nature, there are a lot of reasons that flower tattoos can be so popular.
For starters, I think a lot of people find florals to be a little less daunting as a first tattoo if they don’t have others, since it’s such a sweet and can be a simple design.
I remember being new to tattoos and wanting to make sure that whatever my first one was wasn’t too intense. And that’s not really what ended up happening, but it’s a common thought process that leads people to get these as some of their first tattoos.
Second, there is a lot of cultural and spiritual representation in nature, especially among florals. Different flowers hold different meanings in life, and it’s common that people get an object that represents a concept as a tattoo, rather than a word.
Vague and beautiful iconography is what tattoos are all about, and florals are some of the best.
Choose a flower that means something to you or choose one that’s simply the prettiest to you. Who cares? It’s your tattoo!
These are some of my favorite ideas and concepts, and I know you’re going to find some that you love just as much. Happy tattooing!
