Fruit pizza! Perfect for so many holidays, gatherings, and just to make any day a little more festive and fun!
I have always loved fruit pizza, but in the past, it seemed to be a bit of a tedious recipe to make because I had to
a)make the cookie dough
b) make a fluffy white topping
c) cut up the fruit and carefully arrange it on the pizza
Recently, I simplified my fruit pizza recipe. First, it dawned on me that I couldtry a pouch of grocery store sugar cookie dough for the crust. Nobody could tell the difference, including me! Win!
Secondly, I did a little online research and found that the the fluffly white topping could be simplified into two ingredients: marshmallow cream and cream cheese- the perfect combo!!
And thirdly, instead of carefully arranging the fruit in a pattern, I now just rustically place it all over the pizza. Or I wrangle a kid into doing this job. My three year old helped me this time, and loved it! Easy as (pizza) pie.

This looks amazing, and I love how you simplified it!! What size cookie sheet did you use to spread out the cookie dough? Thanks!
Annie says
I used a 15 x 10 inch pan. Hope you love the fruit pizza!
Kaci says
I noticed you have 1 egg and half a cup of butter in the ingredients. Is this the same egg and butter included with the cookie directions or an additional egg and butter?
Annie says
This is the same egg and butter that is included in the mix. Thanks for asking!
Josselin says
What cookie mix did you use?
Annie says
I have used Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, and the Aldi sugar cookie pouches. They have all worked great!

Can I put together day before to serve next day? Or will it get too soggy?
Annie says
I think that it would be too soggy. Here is what you could do to make it a little bit ahead: bake the cookie crust the day before, cool completely, and cover. Then on the day that you are ready to serve the pizza, top with the marshmallow cream/cream cheese and fruit. Hope you love it!

My cookie mix says to add flour as well as the butter and egg? Did you or no?
Annie says
My cookie mix didn’t require flour, but I probably would add it so that the cookies turn out the way they should! Thanks!

Do you need to spray anything on the pan? I’ve seen some fruit pizzas stick to the pan. Would parchment paper be a good option??
Annie says
Yes, I spray the pan with non-stick cooking spray, and parchment paper would also be a great option.

Hi, I’m making this today and my sugar cookie ok has directions for “drop cookies” and also “cutout cookies”. The difference in the ingredients is adding flour only to the “cutout cookies”. Do you know which recipe I should follow? I’m using the Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix.
Annie says
I have never added flour to the cookie mix, and mine has always turned out great! Hope yours does, too. Thanks!
